The Race | Newsletter

MOVE FORWARD.  This gonna be a tough time for me. This is a season of DISCIPLINE. Sometimes it’s really hard to specify things that you want to be, especially of you are looking at your own abilities. Artists are insecure they say, that is why they express themselves through arts. Art for me is subjective, which leads us artists into a SAFE MODE. Whether they like it or not, it’s okay as long as there are still people who believes in us. We tend to do things when we feel like doing it. Thank God He changed my thinking!Now art for me is something to be celebrated, to share, to give inspiration, to give meaning — an ART worth spreading for!

Creativity never did leave me since birth, and I thank God for it. I know this is the GIFT, the PASSION and the CALLING He has given me. Someone doesn’t have to motivate me in this to keep me going, its automatic. That is why, I decided to embrace this calling fully!

TODAY: I will be focusing on photography as my career, and a side to that is my graphic designing. I am still praying that I will be getting the chance to study again any ARTS or ADVERTISING Course. (Time to invest on what I really want!)  AS an employee, I am also excited for the renovation and a new face of our canteen/restaurant here in Cavite which I am going to manage.

GOAL : Photography Studio on October 2012 ; Art Gallery & Coffee Shop on January 2013

Those goals are not something to boast about, it is just a written guide for me and a banner as I finished this race– the ribbon on the finish line, and a preparation for the next race.

The Day to Celebrate Fatherhood

In my 22 years of existence it has been ordinary or not-so-special to celebrate Father’s Day. But this day, I had the best experience! As a whole family, we attended church and I know we are all encouraged by the WORD.

THIS WORLD NEEDS FATHERING

Most teenagers rebel because of abusive authority or lack of love in the home.

Fathers are either absent, passive or abusive.

Homosexuality is rampant partly as a result of a lack of a good example of manhood in the home.

God designs MEN to have these things, and DO these things:

1. Manhood

2. Leadership

3. Fathering

I agree that women needs security and men needs significance, individually and later on,on their own family. That is why I have been thinking lately what kind of home we have. Especially when I realized that it is true that AUTHORITY without love is ABUSIVE. And LOVE without authority is WEAK. 

The way we implement fatherhood is through a proper & strong balance of LOVE & AUTHORITY.

That is GOD. He is our FATHER personally. He LOVES us and HE HAS AN AUTHORITY over us! I hope that as we accept HIS love we will not also forget and take lightly the authority he has over our lives.

Aren’t we proud that we are HIS!? ;)

———This is my poem for my Papa’s Birthday, and I want to share it too!——-

Tinuturing mo pa din akong isang bata.

Tinatawag mo ako sa maliit mong tinig.

Kapag galit ka, kinabukasan bigla din naman mawawala.

Kapag ako’y naiyak, ako’y lagi mong naririnig.

Iba ka sa karaniwang mga Ama,

pinapahalakhak mo ako at pinapatawa.

Tinuruan mo akong gumuhit mula nung bata pa,

Kaya minahal ko ang sining at potograpiya,

Binuksan mo ang isipan ko sa magagandang maaari kong magawa,

Binibigyan mo ako ng pera,

kahit butas na ang iyong bulsa.

Patakas tayong nabili ng cheeseburger sa kanto,

dahil kulang pa sa atin pati isang litro ng Mountain Dew.

Nakikipag-one-on-one ka sa akin sa pagkain,

kaya ako mataba. (>,<)

Kapag pinapakilala ko sayo ang mga kaibigan ko,

hindi mo lang sila nginingitian…

Kundi kinukwentuhan at pinapatawa mo na,

at hindi lang yun…nagiging tropa mo pa!

Ipinagmamalaki kita kahit may kapansanan ka Papa,

dahil hindi lang kita Ama…

Isa kang simbolo ng Himala,

mula nang ikaw ay nagbago at hindi na nagbibisyo,

nakita kong katotohanan ng salitang pagbabago,

mas napalapit ka sa Diyos at napamahal sa Kanya.

Wala ka mang paningin,

nakikita mo naman aking puso at damdamin.

Naalala ko nung mga panahong napapalayo na ako sa Kanya,

hindi mo ako sinumbatan,

bagkus inutusan mo akong basahin sa iyo ang Kawikaan,

kumirot ang aking damdamin…

at umiyak ng palihim…

At kung ako man ay may matinding panalangin…

ito ay ang magkaroon ka ng paningin,

at makita pa ang buhay kong tatahakin.

Cavite Campus Worship Night

It was a blast! Everyone has been fired up again for God! ;) Sarap nang headbangan moment! Perstaym ko mag head bang nang pagkatodo-todo, at ngayon masakit ang leeg at balikat ko. Swearyoso*!

Ico and Paulette had been send off this July for the School of Campus Ministry. I, Aries and Nhel will wait and work hard for January 2012 for the 7th batch. 

I am so overwhelmed by seeing the youth of Cavite united, really. Like it was, really! ;) The youth of Dasma, Imus and Bacoor showed a great passion to pray for their campuses.

Can’t wait to see more of God’s mighty-exciting work this school year! COME ON! ;)

This is such a pain to see, but it is the reality. Please, don’t skip the beauty of youth that God had given us. Let us all enjoy the moment, and refrain from trying things on our own.

God is with us. He is in control, let us submit on His will.

1. Pop in some worship music. Honestly, it’s really amazing how fast God lifts your spirits.

2. Read your Bible. There is nothing better than having God cradle your heart.

3. Write out inspiring Bible verses or worship lyrics in a journal that is dedicated to you and your walk with God.

4. Repeat steps 1-3. 

THIS MAY LOOK HARD EACH TIME AND CONSISTENTLY, BUT THIS WILL END UP THE ENEMY’S SCHEMES! ;) SO LET’S ALL DO IT YEAHHH!!!
